Emily Paddock Hubbard, a longtime resident of Pepperell, Massachusetts passed away January 28, 2018 in North Conway, New Hampshire at the age of 97. She was born in Melrose, Massachusetts on August 16, 1920 the daughter of Alice and Charles Mickle, one of nine children. She was predeceased by her husband Bernard in 1979 and daughter Barbara DiMaio in 2017. She is survived by sisters Ruth Minor and Virginia Gaw. She is also survived by sons Bernard (Lenore) of Curtis, Michigan and William (Cindy) of Sebastian, Florida and 11 grandchildren, Stephan (Meg) Hubbard, Jason (Robyn) Ludy, Michael (Laura) Hubbard, Daniel Levasseur, Gina Morse, Pamela (George) Havell, Ernest DiMaio, Jennifer (Cliff) Gerich, Jessica (Brian) Taylor, Joshua (Jessica) Hubbard and Jarrod Hubbard and 11 great-grandchildren .
While raising her family she worked many jobs over her lifetime and at one time owned and operated a small grocery store, Hubbard’s Cubbard in Saugus, MA. She was most proud of her work as a professional dry cleaner and took great pride as she would always be asked to care for wedding dresses and more challenging fabrics. In her retirement she enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren visiting often and welcoming all to her home. She was active in the Pepperell Senior Citizen Center and the Pepperell Grange. She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots greatly enjoying the recent successes of both teams.

A visitation will be held Saturday, 1-3 pm February, 10 2018, followed by a service at the McGaffigan Family Funeral Home, 37 Main St (Rte. 113) Pepperell, MA. Please see www.mcgaffiganfuneral.com
